I love writing. Sometimes, writing loves me back.
I am a native Georgia Peach, and a graduate of UT Chattanooga and Colorado Tech University, with degrees in English Literature, project management and business management.
Slowly approaching retirement from the U.S. Army, through my service, I have met some great people at various assignments, among them, The Pentagon, Fort Drum, New York, Home of the 10th Mountain Division, and the Atlanta Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), where much of my debut novel, The Other Side of 30, is based. Although I've been outside the United States to many countries, I have yet to see our own West Coast. I would like to visit all 50 states in my lifetime.
My publishing house, New Renaissance Ink,LLC, launched in 2011, and will publish short works of fiction, nonfiction, and possibly poetry. We also post links, blurbs, and short articles in The Ink Spotlight, featuring noteworthy people, books, and events, as well as a new Writers Should Know This Blog, offering insight to new writers on the craft of writing and the business publishing.
I believe in God, duty, honor, country, family, and friendship. I believe in the value of words. I believe in karma and reciprocity.
I appreciate the art of conversation, talking and listening.
I hate texting. Really.
I am chronically impatient, but I'm also usually (always) the last one ready.
I'm told that I think too much...about everything.
My words are the chances I take and the dreams I dream.
Please also visit my personal blogs, Write on Time and Otherwise Perfect. Thanks!
